avoiding black and white

I was walking down the path.. out of the bell caves.. heading back to the road..
It was dark outside.. and no lights.. I just tried to avoid the black spots.. those were the animal dung.. the white spots.. those were fine.. those were the safe spots...

reminding me of another walk in the darkness.. where it was just the contrary.. the black was the safe spots and the white.. - keep out..

In Peru walking down the road.. around Colca Canyon in a rain storm.. at night.. in total darkness. not seeing anything... just trying to avoid the white spots.. the black meant safety zone... the white.. walking into them was not fun.. that meant getting totally drenched.. and cold..those were the huge puddles..
